Do you know of a property in your community that should be evaluated by an archaeologist? Perhaps it has a historical structure, or vulnerable artifacts. LX Heritage will perform an assessment and prepare a report with our findings, including possible avenues of future research and preservation needs.

As archaeologists, we are experts in the care and study of cultural material from any period, and our team has experience with artifacts ranging from 3,000 year old ceramics to Depression-era glassware. Whether we are collecting artifacts from a field site or creating 3D models of items already in a collection, we will provide the documentation, curation, and interpretation of any archaeological assemblage.

We believe that all members of the community should be able to benefit and learn from shared cultural heritage. Using our in-house research team, and based on our archaeological data, we create outreach materials based on the unique needs of every community.

Based on the specific needs of your community, we will develop a tailor-made plan to document, preserve, and present important narratives of your shared heritage. This can involve anything and everything from grant opportunities, to event organization, to the creation of traveling exhibits.

We specialize in highlighting historically overlooked narratives, with a particular focus on community-based heritage. Our expertise extends to archaeological material from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, a critical yet often underrepresented era in archaeological research. We also employ digital techniques to enhance preservation and outreach, especially for community organizations with limited financial resources.
